Giving Opportunities

Since Immaculata Academy opened its doors in 1928, the school has held strong to its Franciscan tradition. Franciscan Sisters of St. Joseph were there, not only to prepare each woman for the challenges of life, but also to help set the foundation of faith that would sustain them through the years.

Now, both Sisters and lay teachers of the Academy work to ensure that this tradition continues and that is why we seek support from our alumnae and friends. While the cost of providing a Catholic education today to women at Immaculata Academy is over $10,000, we recognize that parents alone cannot carry such a burden. This is why the work done by the Office of Institutional Advancement is so critical.

We work to bridge the gap between tuition income and the real costs associated with educating our students through various fundraising events and activities.

Annual Appeal

The Annual Appeal is the foundation of our fundraising efforts.

These gifts provide unrestricted monies to fill the gap that tuition alone cannot cover in providing a college preparation education.

The annual Phone-A-Thon, a specific appeal during the Annual Appeal, provides an excellent opportunity for the Immaculata Academy family to reconnect each year and ensure the continued success of the annual campaign.

These donations are especially vital, since Immaculata Academy must rely upon the Annual Appeal to meet operating costs and balance the budget.

Planned Giving

Planned giving provides an excellent opportunity for you to leave a legacy of your own.

Most people give by leaving a charitable gift in a will or trust, or by naming Immaculata Academy as a beneficiary of an insurance policy or retirement plan such as an IRA.

Some people donate something they own, like a car, coin collection, or their home. Others leave a paid-up life insurance policy, retirement account or their financial investments.

You truly will leave a legacy for the future by supporting Immaculata Academy through a will or estate.

Fund a Scholarship

A Catholic education in the 21st century may be exceedingly more important than ever before.

You can help make this opportunity available to as many young women as possible by establishing a scholarship or endowment.

In doing so, you set the guidelines of the scholarship (grade point average, need, interests, etc.) and the school will fulfill your criteria.

Endowment Club

Started in 1995 by Sister Helen Royack FSSJ, the Endowment Club is comprised of alumnae and friends of Immaculata Academy.

This dedicated group of ladies pledges a monthly donation that is invested in a special fund.

Each year, only the dividends are used for scholarships.

Memorial and Honor Gifts

One way to support Immaculata Academy is through memorial/honorarium giving.

It allows you to honor family, friends, living or deceased, while helping to support Catholic education.

All gifts are listed in a special section of Immaculata Academy’s Annual Report

Special Projects

Sometimes a donor would like to support a specific project with a restricted gift. Immaculata Academy has projects in need of financial support, for more information contact the Office of Institutional Advancement, 648-4307.

Not only do you support education but you may receive tax deductions as well.
